Executive Search has a very precise definition for us: it is the art of making success in business probable.
In reality, as someone said once, executive search is not so much about searching, but about ...finding. Moreover: for us, finding a person to fill in a job, or - even worse - finding whoever is available (or willing) to take that particular job is not at all what we consider to be executive search.
For us, executive search is mostly about finding the very best person which can cope with a very precise set of responsibilities. This is why we believe that professional Executive Search is a difficult profession to practice because – in the end - it is not so much about finding either, but about understanding what ‘best’ means.
This is the reason why we have invested so heavily in building up our new model: because it helps us tremendously to better understand how we can define the expression “the best”, in each customer’s case, in each project and in each interview we have.
We are convinced that without such understanding, the very idea of finding the best solution becomes not only imaginary, but even dangerous to the organization. On the other hand, if we do understand, then the probability that our recommendations will produce added value to our client’s organization grows exponentially.
Our two decades of experience have taught us that even the very best organizations cannot sustain their leadership position if they don’t strive to attract the best professionals there are.
For this reason, our slogan is: "For the best. Only."
Executive Search
is not so much about searching,
but about understanding.
Without it,
finding is either impossible, haphazard,
or simply …
a lie.
