Throughout this web site we use the concept of ‘talent’ intensively, although we are aware that its definition, in general, is not very clear, even if almost 15 years have passed since concept of ‘talent’ was invented.
Are we really living through a real War for Talent? How true is this warning in places like Romania and how relevant? Such questions cannot be answered here, for obvious reasons. But we are convinced that the principles behind this idea are very real and very relevant to us as well, which is the reason why we have used the term talent so extensively.
However, because the term ‘talent’ is still so unclear, we must explain our own understanding of the term , as clearly as we possibly can.
The meaning of ‘talent’, for us, is directly connected to our value system.
First, we must make clear the fact that, in evaluating the future potential for an executive role, we consider a suitable education, a solid experience and the set of skills required for a real management role, to be must-haves, i.e. minimal requirements.
